Ha'_water

Ancient Mayan “hieroglyphic” or “word picture” for water, the ultimate renewable resource, (Glyph is courtesy of Inga Calvin, “The Hieroglyphic Decipherment Guide,” 2012.)

What is HA’ ? Reminders of the ancient, but advanced Mayan civilization are all around in Central America. Ancient ruins are bedecked with “hieroglyphs,” which are symbols for both words and letters. The ancient Mayans recognized water falling from the heavens, or “ HA’ ” in their language, as the ultimate resource of life. The purity and availability of water remains to this day a symbol for those of us working for mobility sustainability; a transportation grid that respects the environment. With respect to those wise ones who lived here long before us, the H2H2H Foundation dedicates our Resources page using the Mayan “glyph” for water as its symbol.
